Mast-o-kyhar, kashke bademjan & lavash
A selection of Persian appetisers.

Kuku sabzi
served with walnuts & barberries. Kuku Sabzi is a traditional Persian frittata typically served at Nowruz (Persian New Year) --the herbs symbolizing rebirth, and the eggs symbolizing fertility.

Pomegranate salad
mixture of pomegranate seeds, cucumber, dried mint, angelica powder and lemon juice

Sabzi polow mahi of Cornish sea bass
Lightly spiced fish, herb-infused rice, saffron. The traditional dish of Nowruz, where the sabzi (mixed herbs) represent rebirth, whilst the 'mahi' (fish) represents life.

ABOUT THE CHEF

Seasoned Persian chef Bahar Sarhangi has worked in top restaurants the world over. After training in Italian cuisine at the Cordon Bleu in Florence, her journey has taken her to Singapore, Dubai, Germany and finally London where she has undertaken various culinary ventures from a series of successful dining experiences to launching Persian Meal Box. For this special edition table&candle evening chef Bahar will be channeling her talent into the quintessential Persian New Year feast in celebration of Nowruz and the start of spring.
